Comments by the Editors:

The authors described their experience with bovine pericardium graft for treating Peyronie Disease with the premise that the incision and graft would maintain penis length thus preventing shortening. Average follow-up for this study was 19.4 months. There was no rejection or retraction of the graft. All of the patients maintained the erection they had prior to surgery, and penile curvature was corrected in 88% of the cases. The surgeons observed an increase in penis length of approximately 1 to 4 cm. Unfortunately, they did not provide penis length after surgery. However, this technique is feasible and should be considered as treatment for Peyronie Disease.
